This tutorial shows you how to change the background image in your post using RealEstateContent.ai.

You can:

  • Change the background on one slide, or

  • Apply the same background to all slides

This gives you full control over the visual style of your posts, whether you’re using stock images or your own uploads.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Content Calendar

  • Find the post you want to edit

Step 2: Click into the post

  • Select the piece of content you want to update

Step 3: Click Edit Design

  • This opens the Editor

Step 4: Open the Images library

  • From the left-hand navigation menu, click Images

Step 5: Browse or search for an image

You can:

  • Scroll through the image library, or

  • Use the Search and Filter feature to find a specific style or location

There are over 15,000 images available, including:

  • Rural and urban areas

  • Interiors and exteriors

  • Single-family homes, condos, apartments, and commercial spaces

  • Warm and cold climates

  • Modern, rustic, minimal, and lifestyle imagery

  • Nature, activities, people, and technology

  • And more


Setting an Image as the Background

You can set a background image in two ways.

Option 1: Set as Background from the Image Menu (Easiest)

  1. Click the image you want to use

  2. Click the three dots (… ) in the top-right corner

  3. Select Set as Background

Option 2: Set as Background from a Sticker

  1. Click the image

    • This adds the image as a sticker on your design

  2. Click the image again

    • A top navigation bar will appear

  3. Click Set as Background


Changing the Background Image for One Slide Only

If you only want to change the background image on a single slide:

  1. Click into the slide you want to edit

  2. Select your image

  3. Set it as the background

Only the selected slide will be updated.


Changing the Background Image for All Slides (Two Ways)

Option 1: Use “Set All Backgrounds” (Recommended & Simplest)

  1. Click the three dots (… ) on the image you want to use

  2. Select Set All Backgrounds

The image will immediately apply to every slide in the carousel.


Option 2: Use the LINK Feature (Advanced Control)

  1. Click into the first slide

  2. Make sure the LINK feature is turned ON (the paperclip icon in the top left)

  3. Select your image

  4. Set it as the background

When LINK is on, changes made on the first slide apply across all slides.


Uploading Your Own Images

If you want to use your own photos:

  1. In the Images tab, click Upload Images

  2. Upload your own images:

    • Personal photos

    • Listing photos

    • Stock images

Uploaded images will automatically appear in the Uploads folder.


Organizing Your Images

  • Click Folders to create custom folders

  • Click Create Folder to organize images by category

  • Every account includes a Favorites folder

  • Click the heart icon on any image to add it to Favorites for quick access


Saving Your Changes

When you’re happy with your edits:

  1. Click Save and Exit

  2. This saves your changes and exits the Editor


Common Questions & Troubleshooting

Why did the background image only change on one slide?

  • You may have used Set as Background instead of Set All Backgrounds, or

  • The LINK feature was turned off

Can I change the background image after scheduling?

No. Scheduled posts are locked. Unschedule the post first to make changes.

Can I use my own photos?

Yes. You can upload and use your own images at any time.
