This tutorial shows you how to connect Canva to RealEstateContent.ai and bring your Canva designs directly into your content calendar—without downloading and re-uploading files.
Once connected, you can:
Import existing Canva designs
Use Canva designs as backgrounds or visuals in your posts
Schedule Canva designs just like any other post
No download drama. No re-uploading. Just seamless posting.
Before You Start (Important!)
Before using the Canva integration, make sure:
You have a Canva account (free or Pro both work)
You are logged into your RealEstateContent.ai account
You connect Canva to RealEstateContent.ai first
Step 1: Connect Your Canva Account
Log into RealEstateContent.ai
Click Integrations on the left-hand navigation bar
Scroll down to Canva
Click Connect
Follow the on-screen steps to log into Canva and approve access

Have your Canva login details ready to make this quick and easy.
Once connected, you’re ready to use Canva designs throughout the platform.
There Are Two Ways to Use Canva Designs in RealEstateContent.ai
Option 1: Import Canva Designs into the Editor (Great for Backgrounds & Stickers)
This option is ideal if you want to:
Use a Canva design as a background
Add Canva designs as visual elements and build on top of them in the Editor
How to Import Canva Designs Inside the Editor
Open your Content Calendar
Click into a post
Click Edit Design to open the Editor
On the left-hand menu, click Images
Click Upload Images
Select Import from Canva
Canva will open—choose an existing design or create one
When finished, click Return to RealEstateContent.ai (top-right corner inside of Canva)
Your design will now appear in your Uploads folder and can be used:
As a background image
As a sticker or visual element
In future posts as well
Important Things to Know
Canva designs are imported as flattened images
Individual elements (text, shapes, images, colors) from Canva are not editable in the RealEstateContent.ai Editor
You can still add:
Text
Shapes
Branding elements
Additional images
This works best for:
Finished Canva designs
Clean background designs
Templates you want to build on top of
You Can Also Import Canva Designs from the Uploads Tab (Outside the Editor)
Click Uploads on the left-hand navigation bar
Click Upload Images
Select Import from Canva
Choose or create your design in Canva
Click Return to RealEstateContent.ai
Your design will be saved to Uploads and will be available:
In the Editor, in your My Uploads folder
To use as a background
To use as a reusable asset for future posts
Option 2: Use Canva to Create & Schedule a Post from Scratch (Most Popular)
This option is perfect if you want to:
Design a post entirely in Canva
Schedule it directly without importing into the Editor
How to Create a Manual Post Using Canva
Go to your Content Calendar
Click into the day you want to create a post
Click More Options
Select Design with Canva
Canva will open directly inside RealEstateContent.ai.
Inside Canva
Start with a blank design or
Click Projects → Designs to use an existing Canva design
When your design is ready:
Click Return to RealEstateContent.ai
Add your caption, or click Enhance Caption to have AI help write one
Choose your platforms
Defaults to Instagram
Use the dropdown to add Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and more (top left-hand corner)
Click Approve and Schedule
Or drag and drop the post to your desired date and time

Common Questions & Troubleshooting
Can I import videos I edit in Canva?
At this time, the Canva integrations only support the importing of static images. If you’d like to upload a video, simply download it from Canva to your desktop and then use the Upload Media button to upload the video manually.
