Quick Overview (What & Why)
Understanding this feature makes editing faster, easier, and far less repetitive.
When slides are linked, you can use the first slide as your master slide and apply changes across the entire carousel in one step.
Before You Start (Important!)
Before using the LINK feature, make sure:
You are logged into your RealEstateContent.ai account
You have already generated content in your Content Calendar
The post you want to edit is not scheduled
Good to know: Scheduled posts are locked. Unschedule the post first if you need to make edits.
What Is the LINK Feature?
The LINK feature controls whether slides are edited together or individually.
You’ll find the LINK icon in the top-left corner of the Editor.
What the LINK Icon Looks Like
LINK ON:
The icon looks like a paperclip or infinity symbol
LINK OFF:
The same icon will have a slash or dash through it, indicating it’s turned off
This visual makes it easy to know whether your slides are linked or independent.
What Happens When LINK Is ON
When the LINK feature is ON:
All slides are connected
The first slide acts as the master slide
Any changes made on the first slide apply to all slides
You can use LINK ON to:
Move text
Resize text
Adjust brightness
Change colors
Swap background images
Make layout adjustments
This is the fastest way to make universal changes across your carousel.
How to Apply Changes to All Slides
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the Content Calendar
Step 2: Click into the post you want to edit
Step 3: Click Edit Design to open the Editor
Step 4: Turn the LINK feature ON
Look at the top-left corner of the Editor
Make sure the paperclip / infinity icon does NOT have a slash through it
Step 5: Click into the first slide
This is your master slide
Step 6: Make your changes
Adjust text, size, brightness, colors, or images
Your changes will now apply across all linked slides automatically.
What Happens When LINK Is OFF
When the LINK feature is OFF:
Each slide is independent
Changes only apply to the slide you’re currently editing
This is useful when:
You want different text sizes on different slides
You want unique images per slide
You need to fine-tune individual slides
To edit one slide at a time:
Turn LINK OFF
Click into the slide you want to edit
Make your changes
Common Questions & Troubleshooting
Why did my changes only apply to one slide?
The LINK feature was likely turned OFF.
Why did all my slides change when I only wanted one?
The LINK feature was turned ON. Turn it off to edit slides individually.
Can I switch between LINK on and off while editing?
Yes. You can turn LINK on or off at any time while editing.
Summary
You’ve now learned how to use the LINK feature in RealEstateContent.ai. When LINK is on, the first slide becomes your master slide and edits apply to all slides. When LINK is off, each slide can be edited individually.
Understanding this feature makes editing faster, cleaner, and way less frustrating.
