Quick Overview (What & Why)

This tutorial shows you how to edit a caption before publishing in RealEstateContent.ai.

You can:

  • Manually edit the caption yourself, or

  • Ask the AI to regenerate or refine it for you

Nothing ever publishes without your approval, so you always have full control.

Before You Start (Important!)

Before editing a caption, make sure:

  • You are logged into your RealEstateContent.ai account

  • You are viewing the Content Calendar

  • You have generated content in your calendar

Good to know:

You can edit captions for any platform (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Blog, etc.).

How to Edit a Caption Manually

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Content Calendar

Step 2: Click into the post you want to edit

  • A pop-up will appear showing the post details

  • The caption will be displayed in the center under “Caption”

Step 3: Edit the caption

You can either:

  • Click directly on the caption text, or

  • Click the Edit Caption button (below the caption on the left side)

The caption field will become editable.

Step 4: Make your changes

You can:

  • Type new text

  • Delete text

  • Add or remove emojis

  • Copy and paste text

  • Make any edits you’d like

How to Regenerate a Caption Using AI

If you’d rather adjust the caption using AI:

Step 5: Click Regenerate this caption

  • This button is located under the caption on the right side

You can choose from the following options:

  1. Make the caption shorter

  2. Make it more personal

    • Uses more of your Persona profile details

  3. Make it less personal

    • Uses fewer or none of your Persona profile details

Ask the AI to Do Something Specific

You can also give the AI custom instructions.

Step 6: Use the Ask AI to do something special text field

Type exactly what you want, such as:

  • “Shorten this into an X / Twitter post”

  • “Make this 5 sentences or less”

  • “Remove emojis”

  • “Avoid using a specific word”

  • “Turn this into bullet points”

  • “Make this funnier”

Click Regenerate, and the AI will update the caption using your instructions.

Important Tip (Highly Recommended)

Regenerating a caption will also regenerate the copy on the design

to match your updated caption.

Best practice:

Make your caption changes before editing your design in the Editor to save time.

Important Things to Know

  • You can regenerate captions as many times as you want

  • There is no limit to how often you regenerate

  • Editing or regenerating captions does not publish the post

Summary

You’ve now learned how to edit a caption before publishing in RealEstateContent.ai. Whether you prefer to make manual edits or use AI to refine your caption, you’re always in control before anything goes live.
